Owner & Stylist

What is your hair philosophy? I think that everything should be beautiful and interesting. I believe that everyone should come in touch with their own personal style, relying on themselves more than following trends. I love classic beauty and style, my icons are Jackie Kennedy and Diana Vreeland. I believe that everyone should practice health as much as possible, including all of the beauty products they choose. I believe in Intelligent Nutrients, which is healthy, pure, and high performing.

What is your specialty or career highlights? I have been doing hair for 18 years and love making women feel beautiful. I love that I can contribute to a person's confidence by helping them to create their best look, and best version of themselves. I try to bring fashion into my work as much as possible, educating my clients and helping to guide them. I love hair-color, editorial work, fashion shows, hair-cutting, styling, updos, make-up, events and weddings.

What is your favorite city and why? New York City is my favorite city and "second home". I spend as much time there as possible becoming inspired, and plugging into life's energy. New York, besides being the greatest city in the world, is the epicenter of America. In fashion, culture, music, theater, and the arts, what more could one ask for! One minute in Bergdorf Goodman, is enough to carry me through the rest of my life! Pure bliss!

What is your personal slogan, motto or words to live by? "From heaven to hell and back again, life is a funny thing. Beauty can come from the most strangest of places even the most disgusting places." -Alexander McQueen

What that you think people should know about you? My favorite day in Aspen was in May 2013, when I met Devendra Banhart.

Charlie Price
Stylist

What is your hair philosophy? It should be high fashion and timeless but appear to be effortless - groomed but not overdone

What is your specialty or career highlights? My specialty is trend interpretation - putting fashion trends into a salon context - In the salon I am known for soft but technical cuts and blended classic haircolor - my career highlights are being named NAHA North American Hairstylist of the Year twice  (2002 and 2008) and International Stylist of the Year (2007) - working on many runway shows as lead stylist at NY fashion week and appearing on the bravo TV series about hairstylists Shear Genius 2 as the villain of course.  (For a full gallery of my work plus lists of recognition awards and accomplishments visit  charliepricehair.com.)

What is your favorite city and why? I love most big cities NYC - LA - London and Paris but Denver is my home and the place I love - we have sunshine - open spaces and I love the enduring pioneer spirit and sense of anything goes that I feel here - I am truly a citizen of the Wild West - but you won't find me on a horse!

What is your personal slogan, motto or words to live by? Make things happen -inspire others - work hard - do what you love - If that doesn't work, use big words that confuse people.

What do you think people should know about you? I am obsessed with fashion - design - art - pop music - and creating beautiful images with photographers, fashion stylists and makeup artists.

What is your hair philosophy? "Hair Is Art". I believe that hair-cutting is all about geometrics and sculpting. Its all in the angles and elevations that you use that create different shapes and style that you can customize for each client.

What is your specialty or career highlights? I am a cutting specialist, and am passionate about cutting hair and creating individual looks for my clients. I was a Haigo aritst for Shu Uemera for two years. I basically educated stylists on how to use their products. I worked on a fashion show with Diane Von Furstenberg, doing styling and updos, when she did a charity show here in Denver. I assisted in Revlon's "Style Masters Budapest 2012" which took place in Budapest, Hungary. I am currently nominated for the Colorado Hairstylist Awards "Avant Garde" category for 303's Denver Fashion Week 2014. I also participate in many local editorial photoshoots.

What is your favorite city and why? Budapest is my favorite city. There is so much history there and I felt completely exhilarated as I was walking through the streets. The ancient energy and creativity lingers around every corner. The city is very inspirational, and the Hungarians are very hospitable people. I felt a strong instinctual connection to the city, and I didn't want to leave.

What is your personal slogan, motto or words to live by? "look good = feel good, feel good = look good" They go hand in hand and I witness it everyday in my chair.

What that you think people should know about you? I have my BA in Fine Arts and have been an artist my whole life in many different mediums. Hair is my passion and is how I choose to express my artistic ability.

What is my hair philosophy? The creation of a natural and manageable, but elegant Colorado hair look.  I really enjoy the simple things in life, and believe that ease and simplicity should compliment an individual.  I also love creating a look that a client can take home and feel great about, then be able to recreate within minutes in the comfort of their own homes.

What is your specialty or career highlights?  I would have to say my favorite part of being a stylist would be womens color and highlights.  I also enjoy mens haircuts./div>

What is your favorite city and why? Well I don't know if I have a favorite city.  I was raised in a small town near the mountains.  I do enjoy living in Denver but love to escape to the mountains every chance that I can.  I would have to say my favorite town in Colorado that I have visited would have to be Telluride.  Maybe someday I will get the chance to live there.

What is your personal slogan, motto or words to live by? "Let everything happen to you, beauty and terror, just keep going, no feeling is final" - Rainer Maria Rilke

Anything that you think people should know about you?  I am a highly motivated individual.  When I want something in life I pursue it with everything I have.  I served 4 years in the Navy as a military police officer. I am now currently pursuing a bachelors' degree in business management at Metro State, while working as a stylist here at Halo Salon.
